Katherine Wilson hails from Vernon, British Columbia, where she grew up dancing, singing and performing in local theatre and ballets. She moved to Toronto to pursue her passion for performing and broaden her talent.
Katherine is a natural born teacher and nourishing her skills as a voice teacher over the years has found her a home helping fellow peers as well as young future artists.
Katherine has explored several facets of the arts and in 2020 she co-founded her film production company, Sweet Sorrow Productions with actor turned director, Zoe Cleland. In 2023 Sweet Sorrow Productions released their first short “Blueberries for Iris” which went on to win Best Score (co-composed by Wilson) at Newfoundland’s FOGFEST. Their highly anticipated second film “The Newcomer” a ghost story, completed production in summer 2024.
Although her passions are many, Katherine is a singing artist and her true love is music. Over several years, she has collaborated with multiple bands performing across Canada’s vibrant music scene. Katherine is no stranger to the recording studio, as many hours were spent laying down tracks with former original crystal pop-rock band, Blue Copper (2015-2020). Katherine released a double album (credited as lead vocalist and co-writer) in 2020 with funk-rock group BAD BREED. Making art is her endless passion, and it is no surprise that Katherine has embarked on her first solo album project.
